Elizabeth (Libby) Moore McKee,
Candidate for the office of Vice President General
Carrying Forward the Commitment to Promote History, Education, and Patriotism
![]() Mrs. McKee's State Regent project, supported the underwriting of the DAR Museum Exhibit, "Memorial Continental Hall -- 100 Years of History". The exhibit engaged interest and provided education and enjoyment of DAR history through a centennial celebration of our Society's beautiful original building.
Having served as National Chairman of the Literacy Challenge Committee under two national administrations Mrs. McKee continued her commitment to the promotion of education by serving on the Board of Trustees for both KDS and Tamassee, and as a member of the Hillside Advisory Board. She attended the 2004 DAR Schools Tour and Hillside DAR Day. She represented the National Society at the convocations of the United States Military Academy and the United States Merchant Marine Academy.
The implementation of the New York Chapter Notebook, integration of all membership-related committees and the computerization of a searchable database of the more than 700 historical markers placed by New York Chapters exemplify the very successful "McKee Initiatives" for New York State and reflect the action inspired by her enthusiastic leadership.
